Course Description

Beginners Woodwork Class, Omagh Co Tyrone. Learn the fundamentals of bench carpentry in our relaxed warm and welcoming workshop, the home of RiverWood Designs. Our workshops are kept small and each class is led by Furniture maker Patrick (that's me :) Through the process of making your own shelf you will learn a classic set of woodwork techniques. These include how to mark, measure and cut accurately and constructing joints, using a blend of hand tools and power tools demonstrated by our course instructors Patrick & Robert. We break each course down step by step with demonstrations and easy to follow instructions. You start with the raw materials and leave with a beautiful handmade shelving unit for your home, (different colour finishes available). Skills you will learn, *Timber selection *Measure, Mark, Squaring, Cutting, Jointing *Handsaw cutting techniques *Hand-plane *Drilling & Screws *Copper wire stitching *Timber stains & dyes *Finishes All personal protection, use of tools and materials are included in the price. **Courses are limited to 6 participants. **1 day Course 9:30am-5:30pm **Course will will only run on this date with a minimum of 4 participants Participants are required to bring lunch but there is a garage/deli within 3miles. Tea and coffee biscuits etc will be available (free) through the day.

Cancellation Policy

Workshops are held at RiverWood Designs. Workshops are non-refundable, but with 14days notice can be transferred to an alternative date.
